Dear Charlie

As i was searching and searching through the many boxes i have keeping all of my precious art supplies safe i found a dvd that was sent to me years ago - i think you remember the one, Amelie. So now as i am sitting at my lovely dining table painting i am going to put this beautiful movie on in the background and be inspired by Audrey Tautou. Funny enough she reminds me a great deal of Audrey Hepburn who i also am inspired by.
Thank you for introducing me to Amelie xx

Cameras

Dear Charlie

I am admiring my old cameras. I love them. Just looking at them i can see what kind of photographs i want to take and see. Just by holding this camera i am encoraged to go and create. I can feel it. Placing the film into the camera, winding it on and hearing that click which gives a feeling of butterflies as i have taken the very first shot. I love the element of surprise, the waiting game, what will it look like. Very slowly as that picture starts to appear stronger and stronger in the developing tray, my heart races. I have created something from nothing.

Scarlett

Dear Charlie
I find it truly surprising when i hear an A list actress sing, and sing well. I don't know what it is that makes me think 'wow i would not have guessed she could sing like that'. It should not be that surprising at all, actors do study theatre, dance and song. When i heard Scarlett Johansson sing for the first time, i got goosebumps. Her voice, so different, so smooth, so husky. The jazz style sound matched her perfectly. So naturally i had to go on you tube and see a video of her singing. The surroundings fit her personality so wonderfully. Her clothes, her fadora, back up band, background - simply perfect. I encourage anyone who has not heard her music to do so. She has her own album 'anywhere i lay my head' and also a duet album called 'Break up' with Pete Yorn. Keep up the good work Scarlett - can't wait to hear more.

Driving home

Dear Charlie
While staring out of the window of the car today dreaming, i was thinking about House of Istria and how much i love being able to connect with you through reading your blog. It seems silly, but being able to imagine you sitting there thinking and dreaming as i do and then writing it down in a form of letters for so many people like us to see gives me hope. Hope that life will always be beautiful. That inspiration will always come. That dreamers can always dream. Creators will create. And most importantly, true friends will always be true friends.

So here is my blog dedicated to my thoughts, my dreams, the letters i write to you in my mind while starting at the clouds.
